February 2007: Current Status
Hello, long time no hear, I know. But I have been way too busy (moving to another country, work, playing World of Warcraft, ...). I think there will not be an update to CreaText 1.5x, I even didn't manage to install REALbasic on my latest MacBook Pro. However, I'm planning to rewrite CreaText from scratch, using Apple's very own tools, i.e. Cocoa. I'll write it either in Objective-C or PyObjC, for those who are interested in the technical details. Yes, this is going to take some time, but after that, there will be a new CreaText, will all the nifty features you know from your everyday's Mac applications. It will be fast, look good, and it won't break as soon as a new technology gets released.
